The NSW Government is currently reviewing the regulation that underpins the Native Vegetation Act and is seeking your input.

In the Central West, the Office of Environment and Heritage and the Central West CMA are involved in the consultation process.

July native vegetation regulation review workshops - community feedback

Workshops were recently held in the Central West to explain the draft native vegetation regulation to the community and receive feedback.

Below is a summary of community feedback from the workshops.

The consultation process will run for 10 weeks, until 24 August. More information and copies of the draft Regulation and other documents are available on the Office of Environment and Heritage website.

Native Vegetation Regulation Review - Community Consultation workshops in July 

With the release of the draft Native Vegetation Regulation on 29 May, community consultation workshops in the Central West are now being scheduled for July.

POSTPONED: Native Vegetation Regulation Review - Community Consultation workshops

We have been advised by Office of Environment and Heritage that the release of the Native Vegetation draft Regulation has been delayed.

This means the community workshops scheduled for Nyngan (27 March) and Gilgandra (28 March) have been postponed.

Once the public release of the draft Regulation is confirmed, the new meeting dates will be advertised. The meetings will still take place in Nyngan and Gilgandra.

You are invited to have your say on the Review of the Native Vegetation regulation by completing an online survey . This survey is open until 30 March 2012.

Community input needed in review of native vegetation regulation

The NSW Government is currently reviewing the regulation that underpins the Native Vegetation Act and seeking community input.

In the Central West CMA region, a public information session was held in Narromine on Thursday, 24 November. Responses from community members at the meeting were collated and are available here.

If you couldn’t make the meeting and still interested in sharing your experiences with the way government regulates native vegetation, you can complete a survey online.

The survey will be open until 30 March 2012 and your information will inform the review of the Native Vegetation Regulation.

If you would prefer to complete the survey on paper you can download a printable version (110923NVSurvey, 192 KB).

You can also register you interest in the review and receive updates on the review, including notification of consultation documents, announcements and whenever we publish anything in which you may have an interest.
