Clearing Checklist
If you want to clear land in the Central West CMA, you need to take the following steps:
Step 1: Read the relevant fact sheets so that you understand what kind of clearing is allowed and when you need approval. Find more about types of native vegetation clearing enquiries by refering to this key.
Step 2: Call your nearest CMA office to discuss your request.
Step 3: Submit Expression of Interest (EOI) for a Property Vegetation Plan (PVP)
Step 4: The CMA officer will consider any information already available and arrange a site inspection, if needed.
Step 5: We will work with you to prepare a draft PVP. CMA staff will also indicate how long it will take to prepare the PVP and what information you need to provide. As this is a process of negotiation, it may take some time, depending on your individual needs, the type of vegetation being assessed and the land tenure type.
